Exeter Ki Aikido Club was founded in February 1987 by Sensei Les Gare (3rd Dan). In 2002-05 the club was run by Andrew Chamen (2nd Dan) and has then been taken over by Alex Savchenko (1st Dan).

We are a member of KSMBDA (Kolesnikov's School of Mind and Body Development with Aikido) which is officially recognised by the BAB (British Aikido Board).

We train three times a week: Tuesday and Friday evenings (19:30-21:30) and Sunday mornings (10:30-12:30), at the Shotokan Karate Hall, Church Road, St. Thomas
(see the map ).

The cost of one session is £4, and after 7 sessions no further payment is taken in that month. All ages and levels of fitness are welcome. (First session is free.)

Aikido is a way of mental and physical coordination. Every movement requires coordination of mind and body, and constant practice is required to maintain absolute stability at all times.
